There’s no place like home…

I was born in Nambour and have never lived anywhere else but Coolum my whole life. My parents have been in the same house for 35+ years so I guess that makes us locals! I have been lucky enough to find myself living my dream and travelling the world as a professional surfer.

At 21 I have travelled to more countries than I can remember and spent more time in airports than I would want to remember! It can be easy for people to make the assumption that travelling around the world is all fun and games and that the grass is always greener on the other side.

I can say with 100% certainty that what we have here on the Sunshine Coast, Coolum in particular, is by far some of the prettiest, cleanest and most spectacular coastline and beaches I have come across.

There is simply nothing better than coming home to my family, my hometown and my beach after a long stint on the road!

There is no doubting that Coolum has changed its appearance slightly over the last 21 years but I’m glad it has upgraded with the times. Life would be boring if everything looked and felt the same forever!
